Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs. 1110 were forward selling to a good trade for the show presented. They averaged £98, up £3 on the week.
The sale topped at £137 for Texels from RA Elliot, Spency Croft, Alston. This home also had lambs at £130. Suffolks sold to £134 from Michael Benson, Longthwaite Villa, Wigton, Steven Andserson, Victoria Park, Lockerbie had Beltex to £133. J & B Metcalf, High Old Shield, Brampton sold 18 bonnie Beltex lambs to £130. Dutch Texels sold to £129 from Messrs Pitchford, Great Easby. Cheviots sold to £105 from Messrs Lamb, High Troweir, Girvan. J H Richardson, Underbank, Alston had Mules to £102. Overall more could have been sold to fill buyers demand.
