On Wednesday the 1st October Harrison and Hetherington had a catalogue entry of 566 store cattle forward for sale this week, the ringside was packed this week which made for a great days selling. Every beast sold had several suitors seeing the average lift on the week levelling at £1952 this despite a tail end in the sale. Bullock averages lifted back over £2000 levelling at £2010, topping the sale at £2600 was a fantastic Charolais bullock from John and Anne Baty, Broomhills who sold 30 to average £2315.33. Natives sold to £2500 for Shorthorns from Messrs Magnay, Greenwrae who topped the consignor averages at £2422.50. Heifers peaked at £2400 for a lovely blue roan Limousin x from Messrs Lawson, Roe Farm. 24 vendors registered averages of over £2000.
