Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen held their annual crossing Bluefaced Leicester Show and Sale when an increased entry of 206 were on offer.
Topping the sale at £4,000 was a ram lamb from Messrs Brown, Macqueston, Thornhill which was bought by Messrs Shields, Tarn House, Ravenstonedale.
The champion of the day was a ram lamb from Messrs Reed, Lands Farm, Eastgate which when on to sell for £3500 to todays judge Graeme Jackson, High Bentham.
Next selling for £3100 was another tup lamb from Messrs Brown, Asby Hall, which was purchased by Messrs Hodgson, High Borrans, Windermere.
Messrs Hayton, Asby Grange sold a ram lamb to make £2600 selling to Messrs Dixon, Haresceugh Castle, Penrith.
Messrs Archer, Low Carry House, Hexham sold ram lambs to £2600 to Messrs Clarke, Howgill Castle with others selling to £2400 to Messrs Barker, Town Head, Ousby, with another tup lamb making £2000 to Messrs Procter, Hillcrest,
Messrs Ridley, Shitlington Hall Farm, Hexham sold a ram lamb to £2400 selling to Messrs Dent, Greenriggs with this home also selling another ram lamb to £2100 to Bank House Farms, Carnforth.
Messrs Lord, West Dowgill, North Stainmore sold two ram lambs to make £2400 selling to Messrs Stephenson, Ravenstonedale and Messrs Troughton, Sedbergh.
Midlock Farms, Biggar topped the shearling rams at £2400 selling to Messrs Ivinson, Hole House, Penrith.
Messrs Dent, Greenriggs, Kirkby Stephen sold a shearling ram to £2100 to Messrs Wood, Crosby Ravensworth
Aged tups topped at £2000 for a four shear from Messrs Brown, Oak House, Ravenstonedale selling to Messrs Hewitt, Tatham.
The pre sale show which saw some of the best quality that’s been on offer here at Kirkby Stephen, was ably judged by Graeme Jackson, Mount Pleasant, High Bentham.
A sale that is becoming more popular and successful year on year and attracting an increased number of buyers and sellers with some great prices being achieved.
A packed ringside of potential buyers from near and far were in attendance and were rewarded with a top quality show of well bred rams on offer which generated a wonderful atmosphere here at Kirkby Stephen.
5 Aged rams topped at £2000 sold to average £950.
141 Ram Lambs sold to top at £4000 and average £915.32.
50 Shearling Rams topped at £2400 and averaged £1012.82.
196 rams sold to average of £940.85.
