BREEDING RAMS
MONDAY 20th OCTOBER 2025
On Monday 20th October Harrison & Hetherington held its annual end of season ram fair and BFL 2nd sale. The sale ring was packed with people taking chance to purchase at one of the last sales of the year. The sale topped at £1500 for a Texel Shearling from GJ Toppin. Basco Dyke. This great home also sold to £1400 (x2), £1300, £1250, £1100 (x2) and £1000. R A Harrison, Hazelhead topped at £1350 with others to £1200, £1150 and £1100. S Norman, Becks Farm sold a ¾ Texel to £1050 with others to £850. TC Jackson, Langdyke sold texel tup lambs to £800 and Beltex to the same price.
Bluefaced Leicester’s sold to £900 for a tup lamb from Derek Henderson, Westwood. This same home also sold to £800. Messrs Peart, Woodcroft sold lambs to £850 with others to £800 and £650. Mr F Johnson, West Shipley sold lambs to £850. Messrs Hewson, Burgh Head had shearlings to £750 (x2). Messrs Huddleston, Round Meadows also sold to £750 (x2).
Overall the sale was a great success with averages up all round.
