On Monday 27th October Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of 622 store lambs. A solid trade was seen throughout with the plainest end of lambs dearest. Trade topped at £150 for a Beltex tup lamb. Texels sold to £138 from Chelsea Brough, 6 Vicarage Hill. WD & B Thompson, East Unthank sold Blue Faced Leicesters to £138. Paul Storr, Abbotts Close sold to £135 x5, £135 x 4 and £132 x14 for Beltex. W & S Kerr, High Boreland had 26 Texel lambs to £132. S & R Irving, The Height, Wigton had Texels to £132 (x8). Dutch Spotted sold to £124 from Messrs Scott, Seat House. Maxwell Farming, Druidhall sold to £116 x 27 for Cheviot Mules. RH & EM Lord, The Bog had mules at £116. Overall sale averaged £110.
