Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 29th October Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  All sections sharper on the week with buyers demand exceeding numbers forward.  Trade topped at £805 (x2) for a pair of Blue bulls from A & J Campbell, Carsewalloch, Newton Stewart.  C Sim, Westnewton, Wigton had Hereford bulls to £800.  Messrs Reed, Moss Side, Wigton had Angus bulls to £755.  J Marshall, Brownrigg Farm, Lockerbie sold a pair of two month old Limousin bulls to £750.  Turnbull Farming sold to £740 for Blue bulls,

Blue heifers sold to £640 from M & M Wilson, Marsh House, Wigton,  MH & AR Robinson, Holmescales, Kendal sold to same price.  Messrs Reed, Mosside, Wigton had Angus heifers to £625 and £605. A Limousin at one month of age sold to £560 from IT & EM Carlyle, Bleaberry Rigg.  Montbeliardes sold to £630 from GR & R Pinguey, High House.  A two month old Holstein sold to £515 from RJ Raven, Crookdake, Wigton.
