On Monday 17th November Harrison & Hetherington saw the weekly sale of Store lambs take place in Borderway Market. A show of 600 was forward which met an increased trade of £105.09 being achieved. Topping the sale was the first pen of the day from P Storey, Brampton selling 3 Beltex lambs to £132. Texels topped at £129 from Messrs Irving, The Height who sold 27 to average £122.62. Mules topped at £104 for 26 from Willie Linton, Lockerbie. Cheviots topped at £116 for 12 from Messrs Lambert, Townhead. Many more needed to satisfy demand.
