On Monday 1st December Harrison & Hetherington saw the weekly sale of Store lambs take place in Borderway Market. A lot of long term lambs were present this week with a lack of power being apparent for the time of year. Texels topped at £142 from Messrs Lamb, High Troweir. Suffolks from T Howard, Lees Hall sold to a top of £138. Beltex Lambs topped at £140 from S & R Irving, Wigton. A pen of 30 mules peaked at £103 from Malcolm Coulthard, Davygill. Cheviot mules from AD Scott, The Square topped at £130 for a strong pen full.
Many more could have been sold to advantage.
