Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

A good entry of 30 cows for the final sale of 2025 were forward.

Topping at £2283.89 was a 826kg eight year old Limousin cross cow which made 276.5p/kg from Messrs Beckwith, New Hall, Barras.

Messrs Owen, Sandwath Farm, Kirkby Stephen sold a seven year old British Blue cross cow weighing 742kg to make 268.5p/kg totalling £1992.27.

Messrs Atkinson, Waitby Farm, Kirkby Stephen sold a 672kg Frisian cow to make 275.5p/kg and adding up to £1851.36.

The dairy section topped at 278.5p/kg for a Holstein Frisian OTM from Messrs Ewin, Blacksyke, Sandford.

The next sale of cast cows at Kirkby Stephen is on Monday 12^th January 2026.
