On Monday 8th December Harrison & Hetherington saw the weekly sale of Store lambs take place in Borderway Market. A strong show of lambs were forward meeting a high average of £114.90. topping the sale was a pen of 6 Texel lambs from Messrs Lamb, The How selling to £138. Beltex lambs topping at £132 from Mr Jeff Bell, Brampton for a pen of 3. Suffolk lambs topped at £120 from Rebecca Vernon, Lockerbie while mule lambs were well sort after with Messrs Wigham, Hargill House selling 7 to £128. Malcolm Coulthard, Davyghyll sold 17 genuine fell mule lambs to £100. Stan Routledge, Old Silloth sold 20 clean texel cross lambs to £134.
