SALE OF WEANED CATTLE

On Wednesday 10^th December Ring 4 continued with their weekly sale of weaned bulls and stirks in Borderway. A total of 190 forward and a good show of quality for the time of year sold to a packed ringside of buyers.

Topping the sale was an outstanding Limousin Heifer from WR & JM Cowx, Hudscales selling for £2350. The same good home sold another to £2190. Bullocks sold to £2100 from regular consignors of quality J & M Fisher, Reaygarth selling another to £2020. James Crocher, Burn House made the worthwhile trip to Borderway with a trailer load of quality Limousin yearling topping at £2000 twice for bullocks. RI & M Bell, Argle Hill sold a great run of Dairy bred Angus & Limousin yearlings topping at £1800 for a pair of Limousin heifers and £1700 for 4 Angus Bullocks. Simmental Bullocks sold to £1780 from TA Hall, Nether Harsley. JH Errington, Lowther Low Moor sold a pen of 3 dairy bred Simmental bullocks to £1620 Blues sold to £1700 from R & A Hunt, Croft House. Charolais bullocks sold to £1700 for a 7 month old cracker from T & W Cannon, Little Park. Blondes sold to £1580 from E & SM Noble, Mill Farm.

A smaller offering of bulls sold to £1580 for a pair of Limousins from JR Wilson, Charlesfield and a single from M Hutchinson, Pease Myers.
