Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 16th June Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their sale of 310 young calves where trade was flying from start to finish with all calves selling with ease.  Topping today’s sale at £625 were 3 cracking British Blue bulls from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown with their outstanding consignment of 14 calves selling to average £577.  Strong calves sold to extreme rates.  Messrs Connell sold a run of 10 Fleckvieh calves to average £500.  Young calves sold well with a run of 2 week old Angus calves selling up to £300 for bulls and heifers to £270.  Black and white were good to sell with calves regularly £200 plus mark.
