Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 7^th January Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Improved numbers once again with a strong show of 460 calves.  Trade topped at £910 for a Charolais bull from Messrs Gillespie, High Ploughlands, Carlisle.  Messrs J Fingland, Park Tarbreoch had a great pair of Limousin bulls with sold to £900.  Messrs Campbell, Carsewalloch sold an impressive batch of three Aberdeen Angus bulls to make £895.  Messrs Armstrong, Blunderfield had a British Blues bull which sold to £890, as well as topping the Aberdeen Angus section with a bull at £620.  J Bailey, Moorhouse, sold a British Blue at less than a month old to £790.

Heifers topped at £860 with a strong British Blue heifers from A & A Paul & Son, Greigsland, Lockerbie.  Messrs J Fingland, topped the Limousins with a pair that came to £800.  I R Brough Langfauld topped the Charolais at £720.  Inra 95 topped at £520 from Messrs Dixon, High House.  Galloway heifers topped at £380 form JM Rome, Kirkbog.
