Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 14^th January Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  A total of 360 calves were forward making it as strong a Show as we have seen for some time.  Trade topped at £1030 for a Limousin bull from Messrs Naylor, Hill Green, Holmrook.  Topping the Aberdeen Angus bull section was Messrs McKie, Wedholme Hill with at bull at £940.  Messrs Pigg, Gaitsgill Hall Farm topped the British Blue section with a bull at £940 and went onto average £700 for their 10 calves.  Herefords topped at £890 from Ling Dairies.  Messrs Harper, West House had a Limousin bull at £680 which was less than a month old.  Friesians topped at £510 from Messrs Richardson, Bedrule, Hawick.
