On Monday 19th January Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of store lambs in Borderway Market. A larger show of lambs were forward in comparison to recent weeks. With the season coming to an end, poor quality lambs was becoming visible in peoples runs. A total average of £102 was achieved. Topping the sale went to a pen of 5 Texels for £140 from Sheillahill, Castle Douglas. Suffolks topped at £109.50 from Messrs Shearing, Carlisle. A pen of 10 late born Mules from the same home sent on to sell for £99.
Many more could have been handled with ease here at Borderway.
