Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart Held Their Weekly Sale of Prime Sheep on Tuesday Evening when 2,261 sheep where forward consisting of 1,804 Prime Hoggs and 457 Cast Sheep.

Topping the sale at £226 where a pair of 49kg Beltex cross hoggs from Messrs Birkbeck, Castle Hill, Soulby.

Topping at 567.6p/kg where a pen of sixteen 37kg Beltex cross hoggs which made £210 from Messrs Simpson, Highscale Farm, Wigglesworth.

This home also sold a pen of nineteen 38kg at £215.50 (567.1p/kg) a pen of twelve 39kg at £215.50 a pen of ten 40kg at £220 (550p/kg) a pen of fourteen 40kg at £217 (542.5p/kg) and a pen of fourteen 40kg at £210.50 (526.3p/kg).

The consignment of 106 hoggs from Highscale Farm sold to average 39.6kg £212.25 (535.8p/kg).

JoJo Andrews, Boscar Flats, York sold a pen of twenty two 41kg hoggs to make £219 (534.1p/kg) with another pen of nineteen 40kg making £215 (537.5p/kg).

The consignment of 51 hoggs from this home sold to average 40.8kg £213.59 (523.2p/kg).

Messrs Birkbeck, Castle Hill, Soulby sold a pen of sixteen 39kg hoggs to make £209 (535.9p/kg) with another pen of seventeen 42kg making £204 (485.7p/kg).
