Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 4^th February Harrison & Hetherington conducted their sale of weaned bulls and stirks in Borderway.  A large show of 260 stirks was forward with a packed ring side of buyers which ensured a flying trade for all classes.  Messrs Atkinson & Son, Green Farm, sold a Limousin bull for £2260.  Messrs Lishman, Fell Lane Farm, topped the Angus bulls at £2220.  Charolais x bulls sold to £2160, from Messrs Harrison, Hartlaw.  Messrs Kennedy, Kingswood topped the Simmental x bulls at £2100.  Messrs Beattie, Woodfield sold the top priced heifers at £2200 for a Parthenais x and £2200 for a Limousin x.  Messrs Preston, Pallet Hill Farm topped the Limousin x bullocks at £2020.
