Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 11th February Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale with an entry of 240 forward.  Trade would be dearer once again with a lot of stronger calves forward.

The sale topped at £1060 with British Blue bull from Messrs Simpson & Son, Waingate Head.  Messrs Reed, Moss Side House, Wigton had two British Blue bulls at £1000.  Aberdeen Angus topped at £920 from J & B Morley, Hadderdale who averaged £867 for 12 calves.  Hereford topping at £850 from B F Farms Ld.  IT & EM Carlyle, Bleaberry Rigg topped the Limousin section at £820.  Friesian topped at £590 from Buckabank Farms with all Black & White calves in high demand.
