Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their sale of cast and OTM cattle when 9 head were forward.

Topping the sale a £2502.57 and 350.5p/kg was a 714kg Limousin cross cow from Messrs Blades, Scarr House, Richmond.

B Acton, Maythorne Estate, Leyburn sold a Limousin cross cow weighing 670kg to make 337.5p/kg and totalling £2261.25.

Messrs Bousfield, Cranberry, Mallerstang sold a nine year old Blonde cross cow to make £2263.64 (807kg at 280.5p/kg).

Dairy cows topped at 263.5p/kg for a nine year old Friesian from Messrs Chappelhow, Beckstones, Newbiggin on Lune.

An overall sale average of £1973.50 and 281.66p/kg was achieved.
