Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 25th February Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves. 

All sections of calves were in high demand with a lot of younger calves forward. A total of 335 calves  were forward with J Robinson, Burtholme farm topping at £1010 with a Limousin bull. British Blues sold to £1000 for a bull from Messrs Airey, New Grange Farm. RJ & DL Cathers, Stannock Farm sold a run of 60 Holstein Friesian calves (2-3 weeks) topping at £440 for a batch of 7 and averaged £365.

Heifers topped at £930 for a British Blue from Messrs Airy, New Grange Farm. Messrs Gillespie, High Ploughlands sold 2 month old Charolais to £760. Aberdeen Angus heifers sold to £740 from Messrs Robinson, Burtholme Farm.
