On Monday 2nd March Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs at Borderway Mart.

An increased entry of store lambs where forward to witness a sale average of £117.82 being achieved. Top price went to a single Texel lamb from Jack Edgar, Fellside Farm selling to £138.

Suffolks sold to £118 from David Raine, Croglin. Cheviots topped at £115 for a pen of 9 from John lambert, Penrith. Messrs Ireland, Holmrook sold a pen of 45 Texel lambs to £124.

Ewes and lambs start to descend on Borderway, with the top price going to a four shear Texel ewe from John Gilhespy, Tedcastle with a single lamb at foot for £145 per life. Mules topped £119 per life for 3 shears with twin lambs at foot.

Inlamb mule hoggs topped at £192 from Messrs Irving, Meinbank Farm.
