The Global Connections Online Sale has carried on the electric momentum generated at UK Dairy Expo, delivering a night of elite Holstein trading that underlines the continued strength and international appeal of top-tier genetics.

Leading the charge at £10,000 was the standout opening consignment, Lot 1 – Cattlearch Mystique Scarlett from Joe Lewis. This exceptional April 2025-born daughter of Mystique Avenger boasts a pedigree that is simply world-class, being out of the legendary Glenirvine Unix Sally EX96. Sally’s accolades speak volumes—All Canadian 5-Year-Old 2025 and Unanimous All-American and All-Canadian Senior 3-Year-Old 2023—and with her untimely passing earlier this year, this sale likely represented one of the final opportunities to secure a direct daughter outside North America. It was Annaghmore Holsteins of Northern Ireland who recognised the rarity and secured her at the day’s top price.

Close behind at £8,000 was Evening Sidekick Jennifer 13 from the renowned Evening Holsteins herd. A full sister to the weekend’s Grand Holstein Champion, Evening Sidekick Jennifer EX97-3E, she stems from one of the most consistent and admired show cow families in the UK today. Strong competition saw her eventually knocked down to Messrs Mutton of Lancashire, adding proven show-ring strength to their ranks.

The sale continued its upward trajectory with Annaghmore Salutes Atlee, an October 2025-born granddaughter of the celebrated Annaghmore Fitz Atlee EX96-2E, making £7,200. With Fitz Atlee having claimed Grand Champion honours at both Baileys and Balmoral Shows in 2025, this young heifer carries immense promise and was keenly contested. She was secured by Messrs Haffey for their Glasson herd.

Among the First Choice offerings, the standout was a selection from three heifer calves due in September by Farnear Delta Lambda, backed by the impressive Jacobs Ashton Diva VG86 2yr. With both granddam and great-granddam holding All-Canadian titles, this package drew significant attention before being secured by Messrs Bowness of Penrith.

In the embryo section, Slatabogie Holsteins offered a truly cutting-edge package—three embryos by Siemers DB Hoa-P out of Boghill Glamour Hurrican Carlin D EX94. Carlin’s credentials are exceptional: the number one GTPI Hurricane daughter globally, boasting a PLI of +£695 and +989kg milk, and already a cornerstone of modern genomic breeding as granddam of Europe’s number one polled female. These embryos were snapped up by Messrs Lucas for their Meinspride herd in Lancashire, rounding off a strong trade in the genetic market.

Overall, the Global Connections Online Sale delivered a resounding success, showcasing the very best of modern Holstein breeding—where elite cow families, genomic excellence, and show-ring prestige combined to drive a vibrant and competitive marketplace.
