Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 1^st April Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with 414 forward.  Calves a flying trade yet again with 22 calves over the £1000 mark!  Wadsworth Farming topped the sale at £1230 with a great British Blue bull.  Coopon Carse had a British Blue bull that came to £1110.  Messrs Marshall & Son, Brownrigg had two Limousin bull over the £1000 mark with one at £1050 and another at £1030.  The Simmental section topped at £1060 with a Bull from Messrs C Scott & E Harryman, Low Farm.  Aberdeen Angus bulls up to £1020 from CJ Saunders, Mansfield Cottage.  Wadsworth Farming topped the heifers as well as the bulls with a British Blue at £1170.  Messrs Reed, Moss Side House topped the Aberdeen Angus section at £900.  Hereford heifers topped at £840 from R & S McKie, Stoneybrook Farm.
