Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale a £2285.32 was a 776kg Aberdeen Angus cow from Messrs Jenkinson, Whingill, Kirkby Stephen.

Topping the pence per kilo at 319.5p was a 619kg Limousin cross cow which totalled £1977.71 from Messrs Patterson, Coupland Beck, Appleby in Westmorland.

Brandon Acton, Leyburn sold a 633kg Limousin cross cow to make 317.5p and £2009.78 with another 610kg Limousin cow from this home selling for 314.5p and £1918.45.

Messrs Blades, Scar House, Muker sold a 753kg six year old British Blue cross cow to make 260.5p/kg and £1961.57.

Topping the dairy section at 274.5p and £1830.92 was a 667kg Holstein Friesian from Messrs Longrigg & Sons, Breaks Hall, Appleby in Westmorland.

The next sale of cast cows at Kirkby Stephen will be on Monday 3^rd May.
