Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their sale of cast and OTM cattle when 35 were on offer.

Topping the sale a £4301.95 and 443.5p/kg was a 970kg British Blue Bull from Messrs Hayton, Asby Grange.

Topping the cows was a six year old Limousin cross cow which weighed 802kg and sold to total £2658.63 (331.5p/kg) from Messrs Brown, Asby Hall.

Messrs Atkinson, Green Farm, Appleby in Westmorland sold a 663kg Limousin cross cow to 368.5p/kg and £2443.16.

Messrs Sowerby, Terrys Farm, Ormside sold a 643kg Limousin cross cow to make 367.5p totalling £2363.03 with another Limousin cow weighing 674kg to make 333.5p totalling £2247.79 and a nine year old Limousin cow weighing 716kg making 303.5p/kg and totalling £2173.06.

Messrs Brown, Asb y Hall, Great Asby sold a fourteen year old British Blue cross cow weighing 685kg 293.5p/kg totalling £2010.48.

Dairy cattle topped at £1910.70 and 289.5p/kg for a Holstein from Messrs Chippendale, Wharton Hall, Kirkby Stephen.
