Borderway Store Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 13^th May 2026 Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store cattle with a much smaller show of 336 forward which saw a larger ring side of purchasers with trade better on the week for nearly all classes.

No massive stores forward, therefore a top of only £2230 was achieved for a Limousin cross steer from Messrs Batey, High Knell, Carlisle.  The same vendor also sold top Simmental cross to £2170.

Aberdeen Angus crosses to £2100 for Messrs Byers, Woodslee, Canonbie and three Hereford crosses to £2100 from Messrs Pattinson, The Flatt, Carlisle.

Heifers topped at £2160 for a British Blue cross from Messrs Graham, Carleton Hill, Carlisle.  Messrs Battey, Flimby, Maryport sold their best to £2120 and £2100.  Three Wagyu crosses sold to £1940 from Messrs Cheesebrough, Buildings Farm, Tyne & Wear.
