Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 27^th May Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with an entry of 230 forward.  Similar to last week younger calves really making their money and were in high demand. Topping the sale was Mr R Moore of Wallhouses leading the trade with a British Blue bull at £1000.   He also sold Aberdeen Angus to £990.  Limousins topped at £940 From TH & J Robinson,  Burtholme.  Another highlight  was a 3 week old INRA bull from Messrs Jackson, Guillyhill at £800 and Holsteins at £390. 

In the heifer section Mr Moore also topped with an Aberdeen Angus selling to £940.  British Blues sold to £910 from Coopon Carse Farms.  I T Bell, Hallbankgate sold a Charolais heifer to £800.  Today really confirmed that the younger the better but all classes and ages were still very good to sell.
