On Monday 1st June Harrison and Hetherington conducted their weekly sale of breeding sheep with lambs and foot with a smaller show forward but trade still maintained recent high levels seen here at Carlisle. Trade topped at £220 for a fantastic pen of Suffolk mules and Texel lambs from Messrs Edmondson, High Mansrigg. This home averaged £191 for 40 lives. Ewes sold to £208 a life for a fantastic 2 shear with Beltex lambs from Messrs Milburn, Wallend. This home also sold to £200. Messrs Wise, Low Tarns sold Charolais ewes and lambs to £195.
