Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 3^rd June Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with a fantastic day in Borderway calf ring with a big show of 455 forward.  Buyers and sellers travelled from across Scotland and England ensuring no change in trade with new Blue Tongue regulations.  Scottish and English buyers and sellers can continue to sell with confidence.

Trade topped today at £990 (x2) for Angus bulls from Coopon Carse Farms.  This fantastic consignment also had other Angus bulls at £940 and British Blues at £920.  Messrs Templeton, Glenlaugh sold a cracking 2 month Charolais bull to £980.  Hardgrove Farming sold Blue bulls to £920 and £910 x3.  Messrs Ramsey, Gillespie returned to Borderway with a fantastic run of calves, topping at £910 for Angus bulls and to £650 for a Montbeliarde.  Messrs Reed, Mosside and Messrs Beard, Dormanstead both sold to £910.

Coopon Carse topped the heifers at £940.  Messrs Paul, Greigland also sold to same price.  Messrs Templeton, Glenlaugh sold 2 month Charolais heifers to £900. D & M Irving, Brunt Hill sold to £850 for Limousin heifers.
