Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their sale of cast and OTM cattle.

All classes of cast cows were the dearest for miles around with an overall average of £2111.90 and 279.65p/kg being achieved, proving that there is no reason to sell your cast & OTM cattle anywhere else!

Topping the sale at £2756.37 was a eight year old 834kg Limousin cross cow which made 330.5p/kg from Messrs Harker, Grayrigg Hall, Kendal and was purchased by Owain Llyr, Ruthin.

This home also sold a nine year old Limousin cow weighing 788kg to make £2541.30 (322.5p/kg) and also topped the sale at 349.5p/kg for a 633kg Limousin cow.

The five Limousin cows from Grayrigg Hall sold to average a whopping 723kg at 332.48p/kg and £2404.65 per head!

Dairy cows topped at £2093 for a Frisian from Messrs Beck, Townfoot, Penrith.

Cast bulls topped at £2507.50 for a 761kg Limousin from Messrs Ellis Brothers, Langford Farm, Warcop.

The next sale of cast cows at Kirkby Stephen will be on Monday 29^th June.
