Borderway Beef Breedng Cattle

On Friday 24^th June Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart. A good entry of cows and heifers with calves at foot was presented to a keen ring side of buyers ensuring a good trade throughout with 16 outfits sell for £4,000 or more.

Messrs Hamilton, Derrie Farm heifers and calves topped at £6,800 for a British Blue x heifer and heifer calf and £5,800 for a Limousin x heifer and bull calf, and £4,800 for a British Blue x heifer and bull calf.  Messrs Clarke & Son, Cringleber sold a Limousin heifer and calf for £4,700 and £4,600.

Mr Andrew Kirkbride, Flimby Hall run of British Blue x cows and calves topped at £4,700 (x2).
