Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

The weekly sale of weaned bulls and stirks took place in Borderway with a smaller show forward.  Despite the weather and those who are visiting the Great Yorkshire Show vendors who attended were rewarded to greatly.  Topping the bulls went to a single British Blue bull from Messrs Burrow, Brampton selling to £2130.  A young 7 month Charolais bull from Messrs Beaty, Newtonfield sold to £1200.  Simmentals bulls sold to £1330 from Messrs Farrer, Roweltown.  Steers topped at £1860 for a Limousin again from Messrs Burrow, Lodge Farm.

Blue steers topped at £1800 from Clachan View as well as selling Angus to £1540.  Heifers topped at £1870 for a Limousin from Messrs Dixon & Chappelhow, Wigton and Charolais heifers topped at £1400 from Debbie Brown Alston.

Many more could be marketed to sellers advantage.
