Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 5^th August Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  318 calves were forward with some brilliant Show calves on offer which topped at £1420 for a British Blue heifer from Messrs Wharton, Highfield Farm.   Bulls topped at £1340 for a 1 month old British Blue Show calf again from Messrs Wharton, Highfield.  Aberdeen Angus bulls topped at £820 from Messrs Bell, Torpenhow Hall.   In the Limousin section, this was topped at £750 for a bull calf from Messrs Carlyle, Bleaberry Rigg.  An INRA heifer topped at £790 from Messrs Rennie, Brocklehill Farm, Ayr.  Aberdeen Angus to £700 from Messrs Maxwell, North Doddington, Wooler.
