SALE OF STORE SHEEP

The second sale of store lambs took place on Lazonby Market with an entry of 1000 going to average £116 (+£4) on a fortnight. Topping the first pen in the ring from Willy Lee, Lintlety selling 8 Texels to £144. This home sold a super run of 92 going on to average £134. Malcom Coulthard, Davygill sold a bonny pen of Dutch Texel lambs to £132. Suffolks topped at £130 for a pen of 7 from Messrs Harvey, Penrith. Mules were a rip roaring trade with a breed average of £108 being achieved. Phillip Dawson, Kendal sold 25 to top price of £127. Anthony wood, Moffat cottage sold a trio to the same price. Messrs Sowerby, Amos Hill sold 15 to £116. A reminder our nest sale is being held on Thursday 27th with a big show expected.
