Borderway Store and Breeding Sheep Sale

Borderway, Rosehill, Carlisle, CA1 2RS

Store lambs continue to fly in Carlisle with long keep lambs being best sold.  A keen ringside of buyers continue to ensure that all classes are well bid for at Borderway.

Overall the sale averaged £108.50.  Topping at £144 was a pen of Texels from Messrs Dickinson, Three Farm, Newcastle.  They also sold to £138, £131 and £124 with Cheviots to £125.

Messrs Howard, Lees Hall, Haltwhistle sold Suffolks to £124.  Messrs Garside, Rock Farm, Cockermouth sold to £121.  Messrs Dupuy, High Burnfoot, Haltwhistle sold a pen of smart Texels to £128 and £120.  Messrs Mackintosh, Home Farm, sold Beltex lambs to £120.
