Borderway Beef Breeding Cattle

On Wednesday 26^th August Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart. A large show of cows and heifers with calves were forward which included the first part Dispersal for Mr Jim Duff, The Laythes and Messrs Maw, Winter Shields. 

Mr Jim Duff, The Laythes run of Charolais and Limousin x cows and calves topped at £3900 for a Charolais cow and bull calf and £3800 for a Limousin x cow and bull calf.  Messrs Phillips, Netherhill Limousin x cow and calves topped at £3300 for a Limousin x cows with heifer calf.  Messrs Maw, Winter Shields, Devon x Red Cows topped at £3150 (x2). Messrs Eve, Stubbs Gill sold a Limousin bulling heifers for £2240. 

Next Sale of Beef Breeding cattle will be held on Wednesday, 30^th September.
