Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

The weekly sale took place in Ring 4 for weaned bulls & stirks. A quieter week was seen with 157 being sold, a smaller entry of bulls were forward which is no surprise given the recent strong numbers we have seen. Topping went to a pair British Blue bulls  from M/s Smithson, Kirkby Stephen selling to £1690. The same home sold Angus bulls to £1610. Limousin bulls topped at £1310 from M/s Ewing, Annan.  M/s Fawcett, Seascale sold Charolais bulls to £1500.

Steers topped at £2190 from M/s Wilson, Wigton. Herefords topped at £1560 for a trio from M/s Harding, Brampton. Limousin steers topped at £1560 for Stuart Whitfield, Haltwhistle. Simmentals topped at £1790 from M/s Jackson, Appleby. Charolais steers topped at £1970 from M/s Pitchford, Carlisle. 

Heifers topped at £1780 from M/s Jackson, Appleby for some Blue heifers. The same home sold heifers to £1480 for a trio of Angus heifers. Limousin heifers topped at £1360 from Pitchford, Carlisle.
