Opening Store Lamb Sale

On Tuesday 25^th August Harrison and Hetherington held its opening sale of Store Lambs. A total od 1030 went under the hammer to average £102 +£11 on the same sale last year. Before the sale the show took place with this year’s judge Mr Robert Carrick undertaking the Honours. After overlooking the champion pen went to Messrs Teesdale, Folly Farm for a pen of 10 which later sold to £128 topping the sale was 3 pens all Suffolks, Beltex and Texels selling to £129 from Messrs Scott, Greenacres for Suffolks & N & N Foster, Birch Bush selling Texels with the same home selling mules to £117 while JB Fletcher, East Friar sold a sweet pen of 18 mules to £115.

A strong show of ringside buyers ensured all classes were keenly bid for.
