Another strong number of 423 stores forward at Borderway’s weekly sale. Trade follows on from last weeks bumper sale with a mixed offering forward. New vendors continue to take advantage of the trade in Carlisle. Topping at £2530 was a strong British Blue cross steer from Messrs Dayson, Yew Tree. Limousin steers sold to £2400 from Messrs Studholme, Ash View. Daury sired stores sold to £2140 for a Fleckvieh steer from Messrs Martin, Horseholm. Heifers topped at £2390 for a Limousin from Messrs Steen, Coxhill. This home also sold British Blues to £2240. Aberdeen Angus topped at £2350 from Messrs McKie, Lawrence Holme. Overall cattle average £1914 for a younger show forward.
