Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 2^nd September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with 352 calves on offer.  Calves on the whole were dearer on the week which is quite unbelievable considering last weeks flying trade.   

Topping the sale today was an outstanding 4 month old British Blue cross heifer from Messrs Hall, Horsleyhill Farm Cottage which sold to staggering £1900. Others British Blues sold to £1000 from Messrs Stamper, High Head Castle Farm and £940 from T W Martin, Tempest Tower.

In the bull section was topped £1080 from Messrs Reed, Moss Side House for a British Blue and £1005 for another Blue from TW Martin, Tempest Tower.  Aberdeen Angus sold to £100 from Coopon Carse Farms.  Calves continue to be in demand here at Borderway.
