On Wednesday 9th September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves. The top priced calf today was a superb Limousin bull from Messrs Morris, Greengatehouse Farm which made £1260. Coopon Carse topped the British Blue Section with a bull at £1180. Highest priced Aberdeen Angus was from Richardson Farming with a bull at £1140. Messrs Gillespie, High Ploughlands topped the Charolais at £900 for an excellent bull calf.
Messrs Inman, Allerbeck Farm had the top price in the heifers with a Simmental at £940. Messrs Stamper, High Head sold British’s Blues today and sold to £800. Montbeliardes topped at £650 from Messrs Pinguey, High House. Messrs Cathers, Stannoch Farm sold Herefords to £660.
