Borderway Store Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 9th September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store cattle.  A good show of 520 were forward with trade topping at £2590 from Messrs Lockhart, Fauldingcleugh for a fantastic 18 month Limousin bullock.  This home also sold to £2560.  Messrs Kyle, Spoutbank topped at £2580 for their tremendous run of Charolais bullocks and heifers.  Auchengray Farms, New Abbey topped at £2500 for a Blue bullock.  Messrs Hall, Horsleyhill sold to £2470 for a 16 month Limousin bullock, with Fisher Farming selling to £2450 for the same breed and age.

Limousin heifers topped at £2500 from Messrs Betts, Bridge Farm and Messrs Beattie, Woodfield topped at £2440 and £2400.  Messrs Bird, High Wreay sold Limousin heifers to the same price.  Wester Ulston, Jedburgh sold Angus Heifers to £2390.
