Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

The weekly sale of weaned bulls and stirks once again took place in Borderway. A similar show of 219 were forward with a similar trade being seen on the week. 

A stronger number of Bulls were forward with a lot of younger, dairy bred bulls being forward. Topping the sale went to a Limousin Bull from M/s Scott, Thirlwall Castle selling to £1860. British Blue bulls topped at £1350 from M/s Beaty, Newton Field. The same home sold Charolais bulls to £1360. Angus bulls topped at £1060 from Steven Graham, Miller Hill. 

Steers topped at £2010 for a single Limousin heifer from M/s Watson, Parceltown. M/s Bateman, Kendal, sold a trio of Angus steers to £1670. Simmental steer topped at £1840 from Auchengray Farms. 

Heifers sold to £1920 from M/s Carruthers, Rawfoot. M/s Watson, Parceltown sold a Limousin to £1900.

Many more could be sold to advantage
