Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

A larger show of 242 weaners were forward with a large ring side of buyers which ensured all classes being sharper on the week.

Messrs Mounsey, Wardhall Guards sold Limousin x bull for £2420 and £2280 Mr Jim Duff, The Laythes run of bulls topped at £2360 for a Charolais x and £2280 for a Limousin x. Messrs Nelson, Braithwaite Hall Limousin x bulls topped at £2240.  Messrs Carr, New House Farm sold British Blue x bullocks for £1860 (x2) and a Limousin sold for £1860.

Messrs Robinson, Woodhall Farm, Limousin x bullocks topped at £1860 and £1820.  Mark Crowther, Kirtlegrange sold three Angus heifers for £1820.

Many more could be sold to advantage
