Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 16th September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with an unbelievable day with 385 head forward.  Unreal numbers met with unreal prices with trade at Borderway proving the best place to sell your calves.

Topping the bulls today at £1240 was a Limousin from AT Bainbridge, Little Musgrave Farm and others at £1230 and £1200 again for a Limousins from the same home.

In the heifer section top price was for a pair of Charolais calves from JG & EM Moffat, West Shaftoe Farm selling for £900.  He also had a British Blue at £860.

Calves continue to rise in price helped by the easing of the Blue Tongue restrictions.  Next week is forecast to be a great trade again.
