Borderway Store Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 16th September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store cattle with  mixed offering of 442 stores forward.  Despite this trade was in line with last week with new and regular customers enjoying a great days trading.  Topping at £2470 was a strong Simmental bullocks from Messrs Smith, Campingholm, Gretna.  Messrs Graham, Wreay Farm, Wigton sold to £2420 for Charolais bullocks, Messrs Richardson, Purdonstone, Lockerbie had Blue bullocks to £2410. Limousins topped at £2340 for a bullock from Messrs Lockhart, Fauldingcleugh, Lockerbie.

Heifers sold to £2360 from Messrs Deane, Rigg Head for a Limousin.  Messrs Sloan, Upper Longbank, Dumfries sold Charolais heifers to £2350 and £2250.
