Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 23rd September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with 300 forward.  They sold to average a staggering £642.15 which is unheard of in the calf trading sector.  All classes and breeds where in serious demand.  Topping the bull section was Messrs Bainbridge, Kirkby Stephen selling to £1260 twice and £1200.  Heifers topped at £1200 for a Limousin again from Messrs Bainbridge.  Messrs Hill, Kirkbride and Andrew Vance, Newton Stewart sold British Blues to £910.   Many more could have been sold to vendors advantage.
