Borderway Store and Breeding Sheep Sale

Store lambs sell to a flying trade in Borderway averaging £128 for 827 sold.

Topping the sale was a pen of Texel lambs from Messrs Elliott, Spencey Croft at £146.  This home also sold to £142 and averaged £141.  Messrs Dodd, Tundergarth Mains sold Beltex cross lambs to £145 with Dutch Spots to £142.  Messrs Connell, Bank Head Farm sold to £142 for Beltex.  Suffolks sold to £135 from Messrs Connell.  Messrs Graham, Ashdene topped at £144.  Messrs Watson, Oakbank sold Texels to £142 and £138.  Dalscone Farm, Dumfries sold 306 lambs to average £126.  They sold to £136 for a smart pen of Bleu Du Mains with Charollais to £134 for a pen of 53 and Texels to £135.  This home also sold mules to £121 and Half Breds to £119.  Messrs Watson, Hurlbarrow topped at mule at £124.  Dorpers sold to £90 for 58 from Messrs Price, Portgate.

Breeding sheep topped at £280 for a pen of Texel cross shearlings from Messrs Lowery, Stone Hall.  Suffolk mule shearlings topped at £235 from Messrs Putt, Branteth.  Messrs Mew, Wintershields sold Texels to £210.
