Borderway Store Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 30^th September Harrison and Hetherington conducted their weekly sale with a mixed show on offer with some weathered cattle forward.  Topping today at £2560 for a British Blue bullock from Messrs Simpson, Waingatehead.  Messrs Muir, Middle Farm, Penrith sold a pair of Limousin bullocks to £2460.  Messrs Grice, Newtown Farm, sold to £2450 for a Hereford.  Beef Shorthorns topped at £2370 for bullocks from Messrs Magnay, Greenwrae.  Heifers sold to £2380 for a Limousin from Messrs McKie, Lawrence Holme, Wigton.  Wester Ulston, Jedburgh sold to £2310 for Charolais heifers. Messrs Grice, Newton had a Charolais to £2300.  Messrs Byers, Woodslee sold to £2270 for a British Blue heifers. 

Overall 459 cattle sold to average £1937.
