Borderway Store Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 21st October H+H conducted their weekly sale of store cattle with a great entry and show of 623 forward.  Both familiar and new faces contributing to an improved offering on the week.  A strong trade was seen throughout with a strong ringside keen to secure quality cattle.

Leading the sale was Messrs Mounsey, Wardhall Guards, Wigton who sold a dairy bred British Blue steer to £2440.  The leading heifers came from Messrs Black, East Kildarroch, Newton Stewart whose Limousin x heifer realised £2420.

In the Dairy bred steer section, Messrs Moscrop, Ryeclose sold the top pen with their Friesian Steers reaching £2170.  Overall an improved show of cattle met with an excellent demand resulting in a strong trade from start to finish and returning a highly satisfactory day for vendors.
